What's the difference between fairlady z and 350z?

What is the difference between a regular 350z and a fairlady z?

  • Nissan 350z

  • Answer:

It's the same car, just the name is different. "Fairlady" was thought to be too feminine for a sports car name in the US and the worry was that it wouldn't sell as well. Some minor differences are in engine power - 287bhp in the USA and 306 bhp here in Japan. Which is kind of ironic given that our speed limits in Japan are way less than in the US!

Other answers

350z is the version available in America, the Fairlady Z is the Japanese version. There are also minor differences in many cases related to engine sizes, safety and emissions equipment between the Japanese home market models (Fairlady Z's) those that are exported to other countries.

Fairlady z is the Japanese name. No difference...same car.
