Is the 2005-2006 Nissan Altima SE-R a reliable car?

  • I was just wondering if that model car is reliable. I know that Nissan is a good brand and I currently drive one and love it. But I was just curious to this particular model. Thanks

    Yes those years are apart of the Third Generation Nissan Altimas, Models range from years 2002-2006. Those are great cars, very fuel efficient, nice space, good trunk space, nice power. And the ride is smooth. I work at Autozone, all Altimas that people have brought in with problems are mostly minor things such as: New Spark Plugs New Batteries Air Filters I do hear the this generation does have a few electrical problems. But it is nothing major, and varies from case to case. If you are purchasing one of these models, I so go for it. Altimas are great, high quality vehicles. I will be purchasing a 2007-2009 Altima soon. I may even go for a new one. I currently drive a 03 Maxima.

It is a reliable car. It is simply a sporty version of the regular Altima 3.5 with a few upgrades. There are no superchargers or turbos, so you do not have to worry about expensive replacements and horrible fuel economy. It is indeed a pretty sweet ride, I own one myself.

It is mostly the same parts found in other Nissans, so yes, just as reliable. I believe they put the 3.5L in that car which is a great engine. Not sure, but being the "R" may mean performance brakes which could mean more expensive pads, but I'm sure its worth it for the extra performance. I've got an 04 Altima and love it, so and SE-R would be sweet!
