  • Nissan Maxima SE 1996 123000 miles, I already did the eletronic cleaner up on fuel system and EGR, change the fuel pump, what'else can i do to repair my car?

  • Answer:

It could be a lot of things. Check this; 1. starter might be malfunctioning 2. poor spark plugs 3. poor wires 4. fuel pump relay It could also be that your fuel line might be loosing pressure, check your fuel accumulator. Hope this helps!

Coil packs are prone to causing hard starts.. and they are well known for causing problems with the 4th gen maximas. Spark plugs.. I know it sounds obvious but they can cause some problems. Did you actually remove and clean the EGR tube? That is a damn good idea if you havent already dont so. Clean your throttle body. My 99 maxima takes a while to crank sometimes when its cold or hasnt been started in a few days. It always starts and runs great.. not much of a problem unless it wont start.

The keyword is "start". Have you replaced the starter? Try that.
