Can an uninsured driver drive another person's car?

The driver side door of my Nissan micra won't open and the car won't drive? ?

• Last drove the car on friday and drive it daily to work so the battery shouldn't be flat. I have a Nissan micra 2003 model, this morning i tried to open the car with the electric key fob, it wouldn't open, I changed the battery in the key fob and it was nothing to do with that. I then tried to open the car manually from the passenger side (there is no manual lock on the driver side so it has to be opened manually from the passenger side) this opened the passenger side door but not the driver side, I climbed over to the driver seat and when trying to turn the key to start the engine it will not turn at all! This means I can't even jump start the car to double check the car battery, will my car not start because the driver door is locked? And if so why won't it open??

  Hi . The first thing to do id to make sure that the batteries in the key fob are ok,, i.e. are the replacements new and fitted correctly, ( when fitting be sure not to touch the battery with your fingers you must use cloth gloves or similar) if the fob batteries are flat then the car will not start as the immobiliser will activate. If this is not the case and you cant jump start then ask if you can connect the battery up to your car properly, you wil then know if the problem is something else could just be a fuse or relay.
