Why the Window tab gets closed without closing the window?

My nissan quest passegr power window bounces down when closed.only stepbystep closing works.pls help!?

• I have purchased a 2004 nissan quest today!! after coming home with it, we found out that the passenger power window bounces down a little when we are trying to close it at once. if we close it step by step, it remains closed! what can be the problem? pls help!! should we take it back to the dealer?....does any kind of warranty cover this problem?

  You must reset the auto down and up power window. Better call the salesman and the dealer to see if they want to do it for free. Adjustments are not covered after 12 months and 12,000 miles. So that said there is a rubber covered button (door panel removed) that button needs to be depressed while the window is lowered and raised with the manual mode on the window switch. Generally the power windows get out of sync when the battery is disconnected for a while you better check the sunroof if your van has roof it should automatically open and close too.
