How can I make a nissan altima coupe look hardcore?

Which nissan car would you rather have?

  • An altima coupe (I'm pretty sure it's a inline) http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/nissan-altima-cars409339574;_ylt=AsCCuavgKyrx86v_3bgiW8rvZI54;_ylv=3?bodystyle=coupe&sortcol=price&sortdir=up&askpriceub=any&askpricelb=any&deliverymileageub=any&deliverymileagelb=any&location=Falmouth%2C+MA+02540&listingtype=used&model=altima&make=nissan&distance=30 Or a maxima? I havent really looked at a specific maxima but if I got a maxima it would be an 05 or above. (I'm a 17 year old guy look for a first car, 18 in two months) I really like the altima coupe but it seems to me that it wont be very fast because it is an inline 4. And it's already pretty expensive so I don't think I could afford a v6 altima coupe cuz wouldnt it be like around $5,000 more? And I dont need anyone telling me that at my age I should be looking at reliability and not speed. But yeah the maxima is powerful and I like that too. The perfect answer that I will be looking for for best answer would say which car you'd rather have, why you'd rather have that one, how mch money it would cost for a v6 altima coupe 2008 and any other useful information. Thanks!

  • Answer:

I would be looking for a manual transmission maxima or altima with the v6. Manual transmission cars are faster and more fun to drive. for example, a 2004 altima with 3.5V6, Manual trans will be a little quicker than a new maxima (which don't even offer a manual anymore). and the new Max is supposed to have 290hp.

The Maxima with the 3.5L V6 and manual transmission really is a blast to drive (I used to own one) the power is amazing! But... be prepared to spend hundreds every month just to maintain it. Maximas are fast but that's all they have going for them. The ride is rough, the turning radius is like a bus, road noise is annoying (no sound deadening), they burn oil like crazy (even with low miles, look it up), parts are ridiculously expensive ($600 for a MAF sensor for example) and overall you will have an unpleasant experience owning one (unless you like spending money and working on cars) I haven't had first hand experience with the 4cyl Altima but I would recommend you stay away from Nissan Altogether. For a reliable car you could go for a V6 Honda Accord, V6 Toyota Camry, or step it up to a Acura TL type-S which has similar power to the Maxima but is a MUCH nicer and more reliable car. DON'T GET A NISSAN! If you do, you WILL see what I'm talking about.

Unlucky above i have owned 5 Nissan's and most of my friends own Nissan's and my family also to which non have had a bad example and non have had to spend a fortune on repairs and non have had any major problems so much so that they stick to that brand. maxima wise i owned an older a32 version which i can say was one of the best cars i have owned and would def buy another one.Parts are more expensive on many Nissan models but i have never noticed as they go wrong far less than cheaper cars witcheaperer parts where even tho the parts whercheaperer they needed replacing all the time so often the morexpensiveve the longer it will last.
