My brand new car's speaker sounds horrible... can I take it in under warranty?
-
I bought a 2008 Nissan Altima coupe last weekend. The 2nd or 3rd day I drove it I noticed the right passenger speaker was crackling a lot. I definitely did not blow my speaker.. (I happen to know this car has been on the lot for at least 6 months and think a test drover probably blew it). Would a speaker be covered under my warranty? I'm really upset about this. I paid a ton of money for this car and expect my speakers to be good quality. They're Bose!

For the 12 months just about EVERY thing is covered. The exception is the tires (as they wear down). Take it back. Good Luck...

Absolutely. Not only are you correct in assuming someone else is responsible, it was probably the porters shuffling the car around the lot. that shouldn't be problem, just state what you did here when you take it in for service....and don't let them play games with you or threaten them by writing to the dealership owner, sales manager and service manager if need be!.....and if you have to, write the manaufacturer and explain your displeasure about the dealer taking advantage of you...it will go a long way!! No luck needed my friend.
