Can you help me with Philly skyline?

I want to buy a nissan skyline can someone help me out a little?

• well i have a passion for supras but i think im deciding to buy a nissan skyline instead cause i hear the motor is better...are they hard to get in the usa or not?and are the prices good or should i go with a supra...also is it easy to get parts for the skyline to mod it.?thanks

  Well you have three options on getting a Skyline in the U.S. I will list them in order from easiest/cheapest, to the hardest/most expensive. The first option is to look online and find one that has already been imported and legalized with the paperwork and title. The average going price is around $33,000-$60,000 depending on the year and trim. The R-32 is probably the cheapest while the R34 GT-R Spec-V will be the most expensive, I have seen some go for over $100,000. The second option is through Canada. They have quite a few that are there, but getting them legalized in the U.S. is quite time consuming and expensive. Not only will you have to pay for the car, but the inspections, the paperwork, and various other costs. This will add close to another $10,000 on top of the price, although the ones from Canada are usually a little cheaper than te ones in the U.S. THen option #3 is getting one imported from Japan. This is by far the most costly and time consuming of the three. You can get some good deals on the cars, but by the time you pay for the shipping, customs fees and inspections and everthing else you will have spent another $30,000. Not to mention that they CAN hold your car for up to 3 years waiting for documentation to release the car on american soil. As for parts they are VERY expensive. Everything as to be imported, and since the cars are not sold here the oly people who can work on them are quite expensive. Now I dont want to discourage you but the Skyline can be quite expensive to maintain and purchase. As far as the motor being better its really not. It is a great motor, but there are WAY TOO many Supras that I have seen pushing 800+ HP and are daily driven. Plus you can find 94-98 Supras all day long that are in very nice shape for around $25,000-$30,000. These of course being the 320 HP twin turbo models. Also remember that you will have a near impossible time getting insurance on a Skyline too, most insurance companies will not even touch them due to being imported. Good Luck
