Where can i get a replacement turbo for my 97 eclipse gst?

  • my stock t25 garrett turbo went out after about 90,000 on my car need to find a replacement one can anybody help. was lookin in spending around 400 for it.....dont want to modify anything on my car so just looking for the stock turbo.....thankx for the help

    definitely go with the T28-it will bolt up just the same but is capable of around 280-290hp whereas the T25 is only capable for 240-250, & the T28 will run more efficiently than the T25 ever did-so more mpg & less heat. i would get on ebay & pick one up rebuilt or get one that needs rebuilt & buy the rebuild kit-this can be done for $300-400 & you will have a fresh turbo that doesnt have to work its *** off when you run your car hard. also you REALLY need to look into the whole crank walk issue-eventually it eats 9.5 out of 10 of these engines-so you may want to get planning on swapping in a 6 bolt motor because they are rock solid by comparison.

Mine blew on my 98 GSX. Whatever you do, DON'T drive it!! I blew all my oil out in 30 seconds and locked my engine. Well, then I went to a 6 bolt, so I guess it wasn't ALL too bad...... Anyways, just go on Ebay. Thats what I did. This would be a great time to get a bigger one too, if you wanted. The T-28 is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Looks IDENTICAL to a T25, but packs the punch of an EVO III 16G, and it's piping is the same as a T25. Looks completely stock. Hope this helps!
