Can anyone tell me what kind of car i can get a transmission from to fit an eclipse?

    Eagle Talon, Dodge Avenger and some Neons. Make sure they have the same engine that yours does. Definitely Talons because they basically the same car. If your car has the 2.0 420a American engine then you can find them in Avengers and Neons. If you have the Japanese 4g63 then you have to stick with the Talons and Eclipses.

If you have the RS/GS, this should be easy, 1996 Eclipse's and Eagle Talons are fairly common...You should be able to find a used and or rebuilt transmission from an eclipse easily.
