Can i connect a performance chip to the MAF sensor assembly itself on my mitsubishi eclipse 2002 gs?
-
i have a performance chip for my mitsubishi eclipse 2002 gs that i am trying to install. i believe the IAT sensor is integrated into the MAF sensor assembly. to install the chip, i must clip it on to two wires. there are many different colored wires coming from the MAF plug in. which wires should i clip on to?

Answer:
Please don't do it. That is a cheap trick that they sell on ebay. It is in no way a performance chip. What it is is a resistor that fools the IAT into thinking that it is cold all the time so it puts more fuel into the engine. It can sometimes reduce power if it is hot out. Total waste of money. It might actually cause problems
