How much would I get paid after taxes? (minimum wage)?

  • I got a job interview and if I get the job, I just wanted to know how much I would get paid after they take away taxes. I'm 16 and minimum wage is $7.25. I'll be working 4 hours a day, 5 or 6 days out of the week.

    Lets say you work 6 days a week. (7.25)*(4 hr)*(6 days) = $174 Taxes are about 20 percent. So you will earn about (174)*(.8) = $139.20 per week. Try and get more hours each day so you wont have to work 6 days a week.

minimum wage 7.25? That illegal shouldn't it be 8.50? Well in U.S.A

If ur working for minimum wage for 4 hrs for either 5-6 days a week. before taxes r taken out ur paycheck would range from 145-174 dollars. After tax ur paychecks would range from 108-137 dollars.

The most common amount of taxes paid for minimum wedge makers is anywhere from 2-3 thousand. But then again sometimes depending on the job you don't get any taxes at all... that happened to me. It was like 25$, not even worth your time.
