How do I drift with the E-Brake?

How can front wheel drive cars drift like those on fast n' furious, dont drift cars need to be RWD?

  • dont drift cars need to be RWD? but the eclipse is FWD. how can it drift? also, Mitsu Evo and Subaru WRX are rally cars, they are 4X4 and are designed to drift on sand and gravel, when you drift on asphalt, like normal roads are, doesn't it change the performance of these cars?

    they user the parking brake to lock the rear wheel to start a slide then they release it. I'm not a fn of drifting, it's more showboating than racing. the fastest way around a corner involve as little sliding as possible.

in the movie, they change some of the cars to be rwd. For instance, in the movie tokyo drift, the evo was swapped to be rwd. This is because the car was carrying the heavy camera equipment in front so the weight distribution is not balanced so changing it to rwd makes sense. HOwever, Im not saying you have to be rwd to drift. Ive seen cars awd and fwd being drifted with ease.

There ways to drift your front wheel drive car by means of using the E-brake. The Evo and wrx are four wheel drive but they can be drifted with the right person behind the wheel! They use something called the Scandinavian flick. This technique is done by turning the wheel the wrong way then the right way! so if i wanted to drift to the left I would swerve right then jam hard left and give it throttle. Once this is mastered drifting a four wheel drive car is a peace of cake! No offense or anything but I didn't like the last fast n the furious movie it was kinda stupid but i did enjoy a few of the cars and some pretty girls!

No, they modified it and disabled the two front wheels, so it was rear wheel drive.
