How much will buying a 2005 Mistubishi Lancer Evolution 8 raise my insurance premium?

  • I'm looking into buying a new car and I'm a bit of a motor head and like to race. The Evo 8 is my next choice, but I can't find out how much it will raise my premium. Anyone know? If it helps, my insurance provider is Allstate.

It depends what you're driving now. If you're currently driving an 87 CRX, it will probably skyrocket. If you're driving a 99 Viper, it will probably go down. As everyone said, call your insurance agent, they are the only ones who will know. And check with other insurers, as for some reason, for the same person, the company you're with now with your current car, even though they were the lowest for that car, might not be the lowest on the Lancer.
