Is Simply Electronics a trustworthy site?

Is the online site "Dave Douglas Electronics" secure/legitimate?

  • I can't seem to find any information about it except on the site itself (http://www.davedouglaselectronics.com/) I checked the BBB and other assorted review/complaint sites and can find no mention of this particular site. Anyone have firsthand experience? or know of a site that might have information?

    I ordered an item from this Canadian vendor recently. The PayPal payment was processed to a person within 12 hours. The item has never shipped, and the seller would not respond to either e mail or telephone messages. I am currently in the process of disputing the payment and (hopefully) getting a refund through PayPal. Beware.

NO! Do NOT do business with them! From personal experience, it looks like they charge you immediately, then hold your money until you file a complaint with Paypal. They don't appear to have any intention of ever filling an order, they just keep your money in their bank account to gain interest, then give it back because they don't actually have what you ordered.
