Is bmw better than mercedes?

Which vehicle is better? A 2008 BMW 328i or a 2008 Mercedes C300?

  • Hey guys, so I'm in the market for a compact luxury sports car. So far I have narrowed it down to both the BMW 3 series and the Mercedes C-class. Initially my favorite car was actually the 2009-2011 Infiniti G37 sedan but my mom beat me to it, so buying another one would just look weird. I love the styling in the BMW as well as its over all driving dynamics however the Mercedes C300 sport feels more refined and for the most part Ive heard a lot more reliable then a BMW. Any suggestions?? By the way the Audi A4 is nice but I dont like the previous generation A4, the new A4 is still priced a bit steep even when used. So BMW or Mercedes?

    unfortunately mercedes would be 100% more reliable than any bmw. ive had a bmw E46 2.5 1999 model ,nice car great looks but what a disaster.. i then bought a c class mercedes and i never had to put my hands in my pockets to splash out cash on repairs again, so mercedes it is for me anyday ,comfort ride than the bmw , fuel economy was better than the bmw..

You heard that Mercedes is more reliable than BMW? It's almost always the other way around, with Mercedes taking the cake for being one of the most costly brands to maintain. I'd pick the BMW. Better ride quality, better looks, better resale value.

Both are great choices but the Mercedes will end up costing you more in the long run. Both are steep on maintenance but with my uncle owning used car lots and I myself owning a Mercedes, he will always tell you the Mercedes is the more expensive car to maintain, it comes along with owning a Mercedes. The BMW I honestly would say is more reliable, but it mainly depends on which car has been maintained properly. The Beemer is the sportier of the two and the Benz is aimed more at luxury than performance. From my view I'd go with the Benz they're great cars when you keep them maintained. If you want a sporty car go for the Beemer it won't disappoint you.
