Sun-in disaster from YA POSTER: 2 days ago i sprayed my naturally light blond hair with some sun-in spray the first day i stayed out all day riding my horse came home and looked in the mirror and was extrmelly happy with my results so the next day i sprayed a bit more on the hair right above my forehead on my bang area.... well lets say i washed my hair , conditioned so on well i looked in the mirror this morning a medium sized section of hair is charred of it looks like if you left your hair in a flat iron to long my hair is past the middle of my back and all the same length so i do not understand how such a large piece broke off with out me notciing and WHY ?? i read the directions , i tested a small section , ? so please any answers to why this happened would And another from YA POSTER: I now know that Sun-in is a bleach. At the time when my friend and I used it we thought it was temporary. We used it at the beginning of summer thinking it would go away by the end of summer. Both of us have hair that is dark blonde, but mine has red in it too. I used it, and at first it only lightened it about half a shade, then as the summer went on it got lighter and lighter, and now it is a medium blonde, and brassy looking, and my roots are coming in dark reddish blonde. I know there is no way to actually remove it, but could I do something to take out the brassiness? Also I saw a shampoo that darkens hair in the store, could I get that and would it make it darker? Please help, and I will NEVER be using Sun-in again! Hair lightening from the sun is drying to the hair, it also means they're discolored from sunburned. Add lemon juice to the formula, or any other methods, is the result for double dried & damaged hair.

It's healthier for your hair to use a more natural version of sun in. Get some lemon juice and put it in a spray bottle and spray it on, and enjOy your day in the sun. :) it doesn't harm your hair like sun in because it is all natural. Also make sure to use a nice deep conditioner to keep your hair healthy :) it makes it look that much better

Dampen your hair and then comb it through. If you can, use it at the beach. Apply it to your hair, let it dry in the sun, then enter the water, etc. The combination of Sun In, sunlight and sea water will give you a gorgeous goldish, sunkissed look.
