Does anyone know how many o2 sensors are on a 96 Ranger?

How many o2 sensors does a 96 mazda mx6 have?

• My mechanic has fixed the o2 sensor but the check engine light is still reading o2 sensor. I just had an engine swap with the same v6 but I have a hunch that it's from the ford probe, since it's the same engine. With that being said the engine may have less o2 sensors than the computer requires if the probe requires less. I need to know how many this car requires so that lite can go off and I can smog my car :)

  There should be 2 on the downpipe, 1 directly under each header before they merge. On a 96 there might be 1 more further downstream, but I don't think there is... What EXACTLY does the code say or better yet what's the code? If it says you're running rich/lean then the problem isn't the sensor, the sensor is just detecting the problem and it's something else causing it. An engine swap isn't going to make a difference as far as O2 sensors go, they wouldn't have swapped exhausts or computers so you have just as many as you started with.
