What does it mean when fibers that look like hair is coming out of your exhaust?

Your car is a Cougar - and it has a hairball. It could also be a Jaguar. seriously - nothing like trhat should come out of your engine. some mufflers - particularly aftermarket may use a fibreglass mat to absorb sound. (glass - packs!). usually they eventually break up and blow out.
