Cool present for a 16-year-old guy?

Is the Mazda RX-8 considered a "girly" car? Would it be cool for a guy to drive?

  • Would the Mazda RX-8 be a cool car for a guy to drive? About half of the guys at my school are hicks and drive pickup trucks, and I hate pickup trucks. Anyway, I really like the Mazda RX-8, but It seems like it could be a girly car. Do a lot of guys drive it? Would it be cool for a guy to drive? I'm also looking at the Honda Element, is that cool? Thanks.

    I think the question you need to ask is... Do you want a Cheerleader in your RX-8? or Do you want Marlboro smoking chunky redneck girl in your pick-up? The RX-8 is a chick magnet, not a chick car. I drive a Miata, no problem with my masculinity. In fact, I race competitively in SCCA with modified Corvettes and the such and win. The Corvette drivers don't believe it is a chick car.

no RX8 is not really a girls sports car. But I like to call she, since she looks gorgeous. And it dose bit weak on power. If you're are afraid of been making fun of since your place is full of hicks, or afraid they gonna scratch your car. Than buy something else. similar car to RX8 is 350Z or G35, but those two cars aren't really fun as RX8. And they don't have the sleek look as RX8

The RX-8 is a cool car.. it's a little small, but big doesn't mean cool. While the engine is small, there is a lot of power and agility compacted into it. The RX-8 is also high on a few lists of "cars that are fun to drive". If you don't mind the size, and you're looking for something you can wind up and turn on a dime, the RX-8 is it.

It's a sports car. I wouldn't call it girly. Of course if it appeals to the females and you have one... I don't recommend buying a car to either be popular or cool. You buy a car that suits your needs and driving style. Buying a car to fit in, can result in you not being happy with your purchase and you'll long for the day you can get rid of it. If you like the RX-8 and it suits your needs, I say go for it.

Do you enjoy driving? Get the RX-8, have fun. Don't enjoy driving? Get the Element, have no fun whatsoever.

No it doesn't. Get it in RED or SILVER and put some shiny mag wheels on it and it will look awesome! The honda element is better in my opinion because it's safety is better and you can do more stuff with them like 4WD'ing can a pickup truck do that!? Get the honda element. I don't want to influence your decision. Bad mistake I made.

im sorry any mazda is girly. If Mazda came out with the Mazda Idowomen it would still be a girly car, just one targeted for lesbians. Also a Honda Element? It is probably one of the ugliest cars ever, and not even in a good way like the old Volkswagen Beetle.
