Does anyone know of a good Perl unit test generator?

How to test an oil pressure sending unit for a 1995 ford probe se mazda 626 engine?

  • my dad put a new gauge in the car (1995 ford probe se mazda 626 engine) and we thought it would read the oil pressure on the gauge but it did not. so i went out and bought an oil pressure sending unit to try and fix the problem but got the same result. i turn the key over once and the oil pressure goes to the max but when i turn it all the way over there is no reading. does anyone know what the problem is or how to test the oil pressure sending unit because we believe that's where the problem may be.We also already drove it like 2 and a half hours and the engine is fine so we know it has nothing to do with the oil pressure. My dad did the ground test for the old unit and it worked, so that meant the old unit was bad but now the new unit makes the needle only move when you turn the key but when you start it it goes all the way down

  • Answer:

sounds like the gauge and the sender are not compatible to me maybe. my friend put the wrong gauge in an old mustang and the thing was 100% backwards of what it was supposed to be, it read full press when the ign. was on and the engine stalled but read low when it was running. might be another issue but it sounds like the gauge is backward to the sender. id try a different sender that reads opposite of yours when pressurized maybe.
