How much should i pay for a mazda rx8?

What year should i get for a mazda rx8?

  • I want to know what the major differences are for a 2005-2006-2007 mazda rx8? I want to buy one but not certain which year to get, i know the newer it is the better but how much better does it make it and is it worth to pay the extra money for the newer car?

  • Answer:

No major differences between those years, but little tweaks here and there. In 04 and somewhat 05 they were still nailing down the proper amount of oil injection so a lot of those cars ended up with rebuilt motors eventually (mazda remans are generally thought of as crap quality.) If you can afford it go with an 09+ rx8 as they have a 3rd oil injector added per rotor. The 04-08s only had 2 injectors per rotor. So far it has proven more reliable but only time will tell.

I had the RX7 & it was a great car. However, I think I would go for the Miata today. You could get a later model for the same money. They are just as much fun to drive.

It all depends on the service history, get whichever has the full history and the least miles.

Whatever you want, just try to avoid the first year of production, somethings things go wrong and are just fixed next year.
