Whats wrong with my 93 lincoln?

93 Lincoln town car Loud Noise when accelerating.?

  • i have a 93 Lincoln town car recently I've been hearing noises sometimes when i press the accelerator it doesn't always happen i've called my mechanic about the issue but when he test drove it he didn't hear it he did find another issue and replaced those parts i didn't hear the sound again until over the weekend. I notice when i am going at over 30 miles an hour it starts making that noise when i am coasting or decreasing my speed i don't hear it anymore. it almost sounds like a really loud race car the sound is coming from the front of the car or from the bottom i can't determine which... What could this be?

    This model, there is a plastic tube you install from the back of the intake manifold, near the idle control sol. to the air cleaner duct. You have one right now, but the new one has something different to stop the noise

Sounds like there's a leak developing in the exhaust system. Don't want to drive too long like that, as the exhaust gases can filter up into the passenger compartment.

Look under the car and see what is loose, maybe your muffler is not in tack. Or check your oil.
