Best car to use for a drag race?

Is it bad to drag race a Lincoln Town car?

  • I own a '02 Town Car and my one friend wants to drag race me. The Town Car is a luxury and I don't believe it is meant for racing. So what I'm asking is, will drag racing in my Lincoln screw it up, or cause damage? I had a mini drag race with a 94 supra and beat the hell out of it, so I'm guessing my car does have some balls. But I'm not sure if its a good idea.

    Town Car's are rear wheel drive. No it won't hurt it. I took mine to the track one night for laughs. It run 17.34 in the quarter mile which is slow. Another funny thing is, even if you manually pull it into low gear, it will still shift into 2nd by itself with the shifter in low gear.

Well you do have a V8 Engine so thats why you beat the 94 supras 4 banger. Sadly your car is Front Wheel Drive. BELIEVE IT OR NOT you have the same engine as the 90s MUSTANG. the FORD 4.6l V8. So your car can make a good sleeper. HAHAHAHHA A town car, drag race? You'd be lucky to hit 0-60 in under 10 seconds. Its not that bad, but pretty pointless.
