Whats wrong with my 93 lincoln?

Whats wrong with my 93 lincoln?! 2?

• i have signature series 93 lincoln town car. it has 113,000 miles its single overhead cam 4.6 liter V8 multi port electric fuel injected. if i leave it idleing for ten minutes or so it will shut off on its own it starts right back up no problem and wont make funny noises and it doesn't bog out or anything and is fine while driving it. also when driving it the check engine light will come on every 15 minutes or so but will go away within 5 minutes. ive changed the fuel filter and air filter and am not due for an oil change. the guy i bought the car off of only put 1000 miles on it in two years so it sat for a bit i have posted this question a while ago but feel the need to re-post it because of new info i now realize that when the check engine light goes on if i accelerate heavily or considerably more it will go off without fail every time any ideas? P.S.also there is a sweet spot if you will while accelerating it will jerk or buck a tiny bit
