What's better round trampoline or rectangular trampoline?

MOM WONT LET ME GET TRAMPOLINE? HELP ME CONVINCE HER PLEASE!?

  • So, I REALLY want a trampoline. The one i was looking at is like $326, ya ik ik its expensive. Usually on gifts for my bday about $100 dollars is spent($20 from each family member). Then for my bday party w/ friends and whatever else we do, is like another $100 spent. So thats equivalent to $200. Then I have $70 dollars saved, so thats $270, I only need $50. Then maybe my parents could pay $50. This would be like a present from evweryone and including a birthday party. The problem, my mom is practically refusing to get me one. Mom's Reasoning: 1. We said no to your 2 sisters, it would be unfair if we said yes to u(asking for trampoline 2. I blessed the ground when it was gone 3. Everyday there was an injury(over exaggeration) 4. Its not safe and I will always have to look after you 5. Youll never use it 6. You will go out more often & only use it for like a year 7. I HATE them My reasoning 1. I proved that wrong- I aksed my sisters and they said tehy didnt care as long as they could use it(which of course i would let them). It is fair. 2. We had the trampoline when I was like 5. Give us another chance 3. Ill be outside more often 4. It gives me exercise. 5. I will use it ALL the time 6. I will use it for more than a year 7. I wont be the only one on it, I'll invite friends over 8. We are more muture now, and know what is reasonable to perform on a trampoline and whats not 9. We wont do crazy flips and that crap 10. It will ahve a net, so thats safer- no one will fall off 11. We are older- we can take care of ourselves 12. The money is basically payed as a birthday present & party 13. Im contributing $70, IF NOT MORE! 14. Its the only thing I want for my birthday 15. Ill be on the computer less 16. I wont be as lazy 17. It gets me out of the hosue if ur annoyed w/ me or want me gone for an hour or 2, etc. 18. ITS FUN! 19. It would be for all 3 of us(me, and my 2 sisters) 20. I know how to use one. 21. I LOVE them She honestly wont give me a good answer why besides its unfair, which my sisters both say its fair. What else can I try? How can i convince even more? Any ideas? And if your going to say 'learn to except no' or 'respect your parents descision', dont waste your time answering because it will have no affect on me. Thanks. ANY advice is welcome!

  • Answer:

My brother got a trampoline for his 8th birthday. He will be 14 in a month, and not a week has gone by when someone hasnt used it. I also have a five year old brother, and his friends play with it too. No one has gotten injuries other than burns from skidding our feet every once in a while and maybe a knocked head or two. It is good excercise and it is actually fun! Plus it helped me with cheerleading (althought that probablt wont help you lol) and I'm much more flexible from doing different types of jumps on it.

Something Scary- Um... the poster is American so, yes, for her it IS "mom". She's speaking American English. Get your head out your backside. This IS an American site... Something scary- I'm using the "English" section. And I am English. However, I more than understand colloquialisms and that there are two types of English. Stop being so stuck up and rude. To the question asker: We have one. We've had it for 6 years and we're replacing it next month as it's broken because we've used it so much. No one has broken anything. A few friction burns and I (somehow) managed to get one foot over the bar and one foot between the springs and THAT was painful, I actually couldn't speak). We thought it would be a fad, I use it every day night for at least an hour. It helps with my SPD. It's fun, good cardio. And you can get nets so you don't fall off... At the end of the day though, if she says no... it means no.

I agree with your mother, plus you will probably grow out of it quickly & wouldn't use it as much

If your mom says no she means no. Stop being a brat and be thankful she actually let's you use the internet

Really focus on the excersize aspect of it. Talk about how child obesity is prevelent in the US and its only getting worse, beig on the trampoline would keep you from being out of shape. In fact, in the fifties women used miniteampolines in their houses to stay in shape, they didnt do sports or go to the gym only jumped on trampolines! Use that fun fact and it may help your case. As for injuries, eveything causes them, tell her there is now way to avoid it, accidents happen.
