I have my grand children over "spring vacation" and I am looking for ideas of things we can do/play?
-
They are 7 & 8 yr old girls and 6 yr old boy. The girls often say they like to play " Office" so if anyone who works in an office or played this as a kid can give me tips. I know we will be playing school, arts crafts, etc.. Does anyone else have any other ideas. I do not drive so we are more or less stuck in the house or yard My grandson will play any thing and play with his Legos and little cars all day. It is the girls who get bored and want me to think of things to play. My daughter is 34 yrs old so been long time since I played things So I am hoping someone can give me some tips on how to play "OFFICE"?! Thanks!!

Answer:
The first answer is how to play office. However I think your grand kids would love to teach you how to play. They get to teach someone for once. You all could play house too and you could be the baby or pet, my 5 year old cousin loves it when I play the baby. Playing 'Doctor might be a fun one for all of them. You could also make an obstacle course too. Just for the girls now. They might like to play with clay or beads (if you do beads get bigger ones!!) If they don't want to do those things you could tell them what you did for fun when you were their age. Good luck!

I used to play office all the time! Here is what you need. 1. A desk. It doesn't really have to be a desk, just something that can be used for one. Such as the table, or something like that. 2. Office Supplies. Things like a stapler, tape, and paper are a must. 3. When I played office, I always felt the need to look sophisticated. I always had my hair up in a very neat bun, so be ready for that. How you can play: 1. Be the boss! Tell the girls their job today is to make a catalog, full of their favorite things. 2. Have a board meeting! Ask them to draw up diagrams on simple things like, Which Disney Channel Show is most popular? I loved doing that! Hope I could help you, have a wonderful spring break with your grandchildren!
For the "Office" game, clear the kitchen table for a "desk", put some pencils and paper on it, maybe a pencil sharpener if you have one, and take a piece of white paper, fold it over three times so it can make a triangle and stand up on it's own, and write "*Jill* and *Greta's* Office" on it, so it looks sort of like a plaque. Then maybe let the girls take it from there so you can see what it is they do in this game. Good luck :)
