Can I apply ILR without any problem?

ILR and divorce ?? Help?

  • Hy there I have some question and maybe one of you can help me I'm married to uk citizen for neatly 3 years we been together for 4 years I just got my Indefinite leave to remain and 4 weeks after we had a problem and we decide to separate . My wife now want divorce and I want to go and visit home but worred to Hv a problem when I'm returning to the uk that the immigration officer will ask me about my wife and why we getting divorce as soon as I got my ILR What could happen and how diffucult are they at the airport of u holding a ILR as a spouse ? And can they not let me on the Uk ?

    Changing your name to ask the same question again and again will not change the answer. ILR is ILR - no questions. The spouse and divorce is not connected.

Makes no difference if you are divorced, ILR still stands, married or not. I do know as my son married a Russian got divorced, and she is still here 10 years later and goes home on holiday. UK
