Is the 1995 Lexus LS400 good?

  • I have a 1996 Acura 3.2TL, and i was thinking about selling it and get the 1995 Lexus LS400, so i am just wondering is LS400 any good? I know its more luxury but i am wondring about the performance cause i don't really know much about Lexus.

    I own a Benz and a 911, and personally don't like Japanese luxury vehicles because they lack that sense of driver involvement, however... Lexus makes very reliable, quiet cars, and the LS400 is probably up there with some of the best in terms of overall luxury/longevity/resale. Why not see if you can drive that car for a day or two(that's what I did when I bought my coupe benz), and see how it suits you? All they can do is say, no, and you move on. The Acura may be more of a drivers car than the LS, but also the LS may be a bit more thirsty(also consider which if any requires premium fuel) Good Luck!

Lexus is whats hot all the other car brands is lame. Lexus been winning awards since they came out in 1989 so I know that has to be a nice car if it got Lexus on the grill. You could get something made this millennium with that $10-12,000 from Toyota.

all lexus cars have very good performance, specialy in acceleration, an LS400 is a 4L V8 with twin cam shifts.

The LS400 is going to have a much better ride then youre acura. It will be smoother, quiter and just feel better. On the down side you wont get as good of performance. The LS400 was designed to be a luxury car, not a sports car. While the suspension is soft and great for ride quality, its bad for handling and yeilds lots of body roll. But the 4.0 v8 in the LS has plenty of power and will get up and go when you want, just need to give it a second to get going. All around great car, and in my opinion better than the acura.
