Crashed my lexus RX300. How much to fix a bumper?

Use the trailing hitch on 1999 Lexus RX300 on 2001 Lexus RX300?

• (1) Is it possible to use the original manufacturer (Lexus brand) hitch of 1999 RX300 on 2001 RX300? I'm asking only the trailing hitch, not the electrical harness/wiring. (2) If it's possible, can I remove the one already installed on 1999 RX300 easily? I mean, is the removal destructive (like cutting/dis-soldering), or just an untie screw type of work?

  The wiring will definately not work. The hitch also had a design change between those years but should still work. The difference is where it crosses over/under the exhaust pipe. The hitch bolts on with bolts, so no major changes will be made to the structure of the vehicle. It is safe to unhook it from one and install on the other. You will need a wiring harness for the 2001 to make trailer lights work though. You cant tap into them like the old vehicles due to the brake lamp failure computer. It will sense the extra load of more bulbs and shut down the lights.
