My build sheet lists i have the tow package, but my jeep never came with a hitch?

have a 2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo, no hitch, but says it has the tow package.

I have the same thing on my truck. What you have is the ability to install a hitch and start towing things. I have a place for a hitch, but never bought the ball.

If you bought the car used then it is possible the previous owner removed it. As old as the vehicle is you will not be able to get it replaced even if you bought it new. You can buy one and install it though!
