I have a jeep wrangler with a gear ratio of 3.07:1. and i have 31in tires. what gear ratio do need for speed?
-
I was planning on re-gearing the high gear in the transfer case and leaving the low gear alone. i do a little off roading, but not enough to justify re-gearing both axles. any help is much appreciated.

Answer:
I would want at least a 3.73 running gears. 4.10 would be best though.

Bigger tires call for defferent gearing Beartree is correct best gear would be the 4:10(ring and pinion) and you will need to do both axles

That truck is an aerodynamic brick, so what is the point in changing gear ratios for speed?
