Minecraft Compass issues?

simple question: when you make a bed in minecraft it turns into your new spawn point when you die right? so does that mean that when i make a compass will the compass lead me to my new spawn point (the bed) or my origional spawn point when i started the map? Also will the compass work in a cave? like say i was lost in a cave, will it take lead me out the cave and to my bed spawn or normal spawn, or will the compass just lead me to the bed not caring what obstacles are in the way, like it might just lead me to a wall and then i have to get through the wall and go to my spawn. im not sure if im explaining this compass cave thing enough but thats the best i can do.

I'm not sure about the spawn points but if the cave is big enough the yes the Jeep Compass will work in there. The compass won't lead you to a bed you'll have to drive it there, if you find you are having trouble with obstacles you might be better with a Wrangler Rubicon.

Haha this question is in the wrong place. Just as well I play Minecraft! On Multiplayer, the Compass always points to the original spawn point, regardless of where you have slept. The compass always points directly to the coordinates of spawn, so yes, if you are in a cave you will have to dig at a wall probably. Not sure about single player though, I rarely play single player.
