What would it cost to do a 4 inch suspension lift and add 32 inch chunky tires to my 4 door jeep wrangler?

Go to Quadratec.com for a look at what is out there. Fabtech, Skyjacker, Rubicon Express all have kits that are good quality for the JK. You should be able to swing 32" under a stock JK with no lift. 4" would get you easily into the 35" range without rubbing. The cost question is all about if you do the labor yourself or have it done by a shop. I had my 98 TJ lifted at www.buildajeep.com in Klamath Falls Or. It was worth the 6 hr drive from where I live to his shop for the work to be done right. If you are on the west coast I'd take it to Jason at Build-a-jeep (also known as Maxxed out offroad for obvious licencing reasons). The 4 Door JK is much more easily lifted 4" than the TJ but talk to an installer. If your doing the lift to use the jeep on the trail you will need to buy: Lift Kit New Axels New Gears for both the front and read differentials Tires Drive Shaft SYE (Slip Yoke Eliminator) You may want to add: Larger wheels (big tires can look funny on small wheels) ARB Lockers (You will have to regear and the diferentials will be all pulled apart for the re-gear - If your going to put locers on do it at this point and save the shop time.) Heavy duty axles ( you want Dana 44 in the rear at least - if you have Dana 35's replace them and sell your old ones for parts)

There many different types of lifts you can buy. I am have an older model wrangler. Your is a longer wheel base so you may not encounter the same problems I did. Usually once you go bast 3" there are more thing to take into consideration than just the suspension. Check this forum www.jeepforum.com. It will be good place to get relevant feed back.
