Nude or Topless Beach Near Los Angeles?

Where can I drive my jeep on the beach Near the Los Angeles area?

  • Just bought a brand new jeep wrangler and I would love to take it to the beach... but what beaches near the Los Angeles area allow you to drive on the beach?

  • Answer:

Yeah I used to work at Dockweiler Beach and I'm sorry to tell you that no, you cannot drive it on the beach..... I actually just bought a brand new wrangler too and want to take it to the beach. The only place I've been to, where you can actually ride on the sand is at Pismo Beach near San Luis Obispo. It's far but it's so much fun.... they are big sand dunes, you can camp on the beach over night... it's great for a weekend. That's the closest to LA.....

Dockweiler Beach is the only Los Angeles County Beach that allows recreational vehicles on the beach. (It's just south of LAX.) It's also the only beach that allows fire pits. However, I think the vehicles are restricted to a large recreational vehicle campground there. I don't think you can actually drive them on the sand. People sun themselves on L.A. beaches, children play there, and driving a Jeep over the sand would risk running over someone and killing them. My guess is that you'll have to head out to the desert, if you want to haul *** across sand dunes. Here's a page about offroad areas where you can do that sort of thing: http://4wheeldrive.about.com/od/socaltrails/Southern_California_4x4_Trails_Maps_Where_To_Go_4Wheeling.htm
