How do you change the headlight on a Jeep Wrangler?

Will it be too much of a change for the shift points in my jeep jk wrangler if I change to a bigger tire size?

  • I have an 07 automatic jk wrangler. If I change my tire size from 225 75 r16 (29 inch) tire to a 265 75 r16 (32 inch) tire, will I have problems with the shift points of my transmission? Or will this set up be okay? I know the tires will fit, I'm just worried about the tranny.

  • Answer:

The JK Wrangler is completely computer controlled and calibrating it’s speedometer and odometer to match any tire taller than 32″ or a gear ratio any higher than 4.10 is next to impossible. If you start having problems, you may need to calibrate both the speedometer and odometer on the Jeep. To solve the shift point problem check out the ACCU PRO. For automatic trans it will instantly correct the computer controlled shift points. the ACCU PRO can also read and clear diagnostic trouble codes. There are other program units on the market, now you have a solution if you have a problem. http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Engine-Performance/Accu-Pro-Electronic-Calibration-Tool-by-Pro-Comp-for-Jeep.aspx?t_c=74&t_s=33&t_pt=6297&t_pl=5909&t_pn=EXPPC52001-1

That setup will be fine, it's the nearly same size once weight is on it and it's inflated correctly anyway.
