  • Answer:

What's a "vin number"? Is it anything like a VIN? (That's a Vehicle Identification Number, BTW.) If it's something similar, you might find it on the Jeep web site. Or try this: http://www.jeepfan.com/tech/tech_vinref.htm

The front diff should also have a tag on it with the ratio. Here's the tag that was on my front diff. The 3 07 at the bottom left corner indicates I had a factory fitted diff ratio of 3.07:1 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3235/2838918763_f062e2f30d.jpg?v=0 To get the info if you don't have the tags still email Jeep from their website or ask at the dealers for a "build sheet". That lists all the specifications and option packages that your jeep had fitted at the factory.

No website just crawl under your jeep and look at the rear diff and they is a tag on it it should sat like 4.11 or 3.73 or maybe 3.07 those numbers are your gear ratios.
