2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

2000 jeep grand cherokee - your opinion on 3rd row?

  • Does anybody have or know anybody who has a jeep grand cherokee where you put your own 3rd row seat? Which means it has to be older since the new ones come with it. The reason I ask is because we have this jeep and I am pregnant with baby #3 and we need a 3rd row because 3 car seats don't sit very well on one row it is too tight. My husband said that the roof is lower in the back than in the front and the 3rd row seat would be difficult because of heads hitting. But, wouldn't it be good for kids? My oldest child is 3 but he is tall. Do you think having 3 rows would workin the jeep?

  • Answer:

I would imagine that it would work, and i don't think the head room would be much of an issue. Although I think it would be very hard to get in and out of the back seat, especially if you have to buckle the child in a car seat. You would also need to install a handle on the inside of the rear hatch.

Hmm. I did some reaserch, and what I saw faced the rear seats in the trunk. If there are seats the fit facing the front, I'm sure it would be cramped. Accidents are more survivable with room in the car.
