Where should i get a diagnostic check for my Honda?

I have a 88 honda crx with b18a1engine swap with vtec . how do i get the check engine light off temporarily?

  • I just need to know how to get that off to pass inspection. Also how hard is it to wire in o2 sensors. give it that i have a crx catback and integra gsr dc sport headers? Other than that my car is done. Thanks

  • Answer:

You wont get the light off unless it was installed correctly. Even if you pull the actual light out of the socket the computer will still pick up that it has an engine code showing. Basically you are screwed until it is done THE RIGHT WAY!

Just disconnect the battery terminals for 5 to 10 minutes and reconnect. This will reset the computer and get rid of the lights if it can.

Good ? I have the same problem with my 95 civic!!

95.Civic.

um b18a1 is not vtec. b18a1 is a ls motor NON VTEC did you mean a b18c1 ? or c5 or b16

disconect ur battery for 5-10 minutes and that will take it off temporarily, but if there is a problem with the engine it will come back on. ur headers are gonna be the culprit for not letting u pass inspection.

Heres a link to some pinouts, depends on what ECU your are running for your LSVTEC. http://www.phearable.net/tech/ Should help you out with wiring the O2 sensors.
