Is it OK to start using syntec oil on my 2000 Honda CRV when I have always used regular oil?
-
The CRV has 140,000 miles on it. I have always changed the oil around every 3000 - 4000 miles. I have always used regular conventional oil. Is it OK to switch to syntec for the CRV this late into its life? Will it cause leaks or anything in the engine? Will it harm the engine? Thanks...

Answer:
Above answer is incorrect. You can switch from synthetic to conventional at any given time. Synthetic in most cases is superior to conventional, and you can use it at any period of your cars life. Synthetic oil will not by any means cause you to have a leak anywhere in your engine. In some cases it can prevent them.
