• I have a 2010 honda crv with 15,000 miles on it. Whenever you accelerate out of a corner, or passing, or anything where you want to go faster quick it feels like it stalls for 2 seconds. You feel the car stop going then a second later the rpms jump to 4000. Also It won't accelerate at all if you put your foot down halfway, but if you put your foot down 3/4 of the way all of a sudden the engines doing 5000rpm. Is this just do it being an extremely unpowered car or is something up? It averages about 18mpg because half of the time its at 3500rpm because there is no power down low. I've driven sports cars and I know this is not one but it seems like there should be enough power to at least pass a car doing 55mph.

  There is a service bulletin related to this issue. Basically take the vehicle to a Honda dealership and they will do an update the ECM of the vehicle to fix the issue. No cost to you.
