What rims to get for 2009 honda civic si?

Im wanting to get a 2000 honda civic si?

  • i am about to get a 2000 Honda civic Si. the guy wants 6,000 for the car with 170,000 miles stock, nothing done to the engine. it has an exhaust, rims, headers, intake, tint, new fog lights. a clean title. second owner. is it worth it???. Its VERY hard to come across an Si

  • Answer:

Forget it. Honda's usually last 175,000 to 200,000 miles before the engine or transmission goes and this car is IN that range. It is worth 500 bucks max since it is going to die soon.

It's not worth it. The mileage too high. The car is almost due for a second timing belt service. Honda is popular for transmission failure. Think of the maintenance cost of keeping the car. My Civic passed 190,000 miles, and Accord passed 220,000 miles. I would of junked them if I had to bring them to a shop for repairs. Check Kelly Blue Book for actual value of the car.

Not worth it 170,000 is a lot for a civic. you will be putting more money into the car, the cosmetics sound great! But i'd ask for a lower price, maybe even 3500

Actually dont waste your money. That is way too much money for that car. Also, Si civics are a dime a dozen today. Get a Si with a K-series motor. Even though Honda stop production of the New Si's today they still have a left over on their lots that are now on clearance. I just bought a 2002 Civic Si EP3 Hatch with a K20A3 motor for 8K and it only had 90,000 miles in mint condition. I would take that over the Royal Blue 2000 Civic Si any day. K series is the way to go man. Besides, that guy is on CRACK if he thinks hes gunna get 6K for a going on 11 year old car with 170,000 miles on it. ....just keep this in mind, those mods he/she did to that civic; that car has been raced. You buy the problems along with the loss of that 6K.

if you really want this Si, which personlly i love the EM1's better than any other gen, you should really talk him down 1000 or so. 6000 is real high for a car with 170000 miles. The Si, overall is a great fun peppy daily driver. I really wish i had one, all i have is a 96 EX =/

not worth it all, for 2 more grand you can find an si from the newer gen with a k20 in it. I wouldnt even bother with that thing. I would rather pay 2 grand for a clean shell Ek and 2 grand for a bseries, or dseries and a turbo kit.

When was the timing belt changed? On Honda's, it needs to be changed every 90,000 miles. If he's done nothing to the engine, the timing belt needs to be changed.
