What are some good Chinese photographers?

What is a good camera for beginner photographers wanting to take clear family photos?

  • I would like a good camera so I can easily take pictures of my family and not have them look all blurry and pixally. I want them to look professional, but I'm not really that good with cameras. Any suggestions on what type of camera I should get? I am hoping to spend under $600.

Professional looking photos depend on your skill, not the camera. Any DSLR will work fine, but it will take you quite a bit of time to learn how to use it properly.

it isn't about the equipment, it is about YOUR SKILLS!!! if you aren't very good with a camera, you could spend thousands and STILL not get what you want...

you can try something like a canon G12. Or get a dSLR camera if you want to get serious. professional-looking pictures come from the photographer, not the camera. (otherwise, everyone would be a professional if all they had to do was buy the right camera).

Porter Camera in Iowa has the Nikon Coolpix P7000 on sale for half-price -- $250, usually $500. I have an earlier version, and can assure you that it's a very good camera. It's also pocket-able, unlike the Canon camera mentioned above, so you can take it everywhere. http://www.porters.com/clearance/clearance-cameras/nikon-coolpix-p7000.html If your pictures are blurry, there simply isn't enough light to use the correct shutter speed, so either increase the ISO, or get more light. Using a tripod always helps, too.

I find It is best to stick with a familiar brand. As far as SLRs go, I love the Canon Rebel series. They vary in price but you should be able to find one in your price range. Try looking for the Canon rebel t2i and t3i. For a very decent point and shoot, you could go with the Olympus fe-370. It takes spectacular photos for such a small camera. Remember, no matter what anyone tells you megapixels are not the most important thing to get quality photos. Lighting conditions and image stabilization are far more important, as well as exposure options and iso settings.
