What kind of jobs is in design?

If I took Graphic design and illustration in college what kind of high paying jobs can I get ?

  • I just wanted to know ,Im for sure taking graphic design and I want to take another major, but if Nothing can go with graphic design in that field I wanted to take a music PRODUCTION class because I am a club DJ , I mean idk tell me your opinión in what you would do and even tho these are my Passions at the end of day I want to make the most money so tell me what yu think and what would yu do .!

    The graphic design field is FULL of starry eyed young people willing to take ANY job and work for peanuts. There is almost NO SUCH THING as a high paying job at the entry level. You will have to take YEARS to work your way up from near minimum wage. If you are really talented and good at the job, your best bet is to establish yourself in a free lance business. Otherwise, look for someone to marry who has a stable career field and can afford to support you.

As far as graphic design goes, you could be a web designer. That job pays really well. With Illustration, it just depends on if people are willing to pay for your style work or not. It's basically like being an artist. There are variety of things you could try, but in the end, you may not get paid well. I will warn you though, it's hard getting graphic design jobs unless you live in a big city or area. They're sadly not all that available. Believe me, I've looked. Best of luck though. I find it might be sort of fun to be self employed. You can do the work you want and get paid for it.
