If I swap a D15b2 engine for a D16y8 or d16z6 will my original transmission fit?
-
I just got an 88 civic with a d15b2 engine that has about as much power as a scooter. I am thinking of going to a junk yard and finding an engine to swap out for it since for a 4 cyl it is around $200 for an engine, but I still want to keep the transmission because I'm putting in a brand new clutch for it. So back to what the title says, will I have to get a new transmission also if I do this?

Answer:
Ya, all D series parts are interchangeable (except the ZC, those are kind of oddballs)
