2001 honda civic transmission help?

can a 2002 honda civic lx manual transmission fit my 2001 honda civic ex? my 2001 honda is vtec and the 2002 is non-vtec.... what other year and models transmission can fit my 2001 honda?
-
Answer:
the trans should be a direct exchange. the body style changed in 2003, so the 2002 will work in the 2001 without any problems. the engine won't matter wether its vtec or not; the trans should bolt up to either. hope that helps

According to Hollander Yard Management, it could possible work. There is a difference in them and it says it may be just the drive ratio. It is best that a transmission shop do the installation on this. Also, you can use 01-02 Civic V-tec or 01-02 Acura EL.
