My horn will not work on my Honda Civic 2007?

My 1993 Honda Accord has 3 problems: SRS light is on, horn does not work, and cruise buttons on steering wheel?

  • My 1993 Honda Accord has 3 problems: SRS light is on, horn does not work, and cruise buttons on steering wheel do not work. Fuses are ok, connectors seem tight, no other problems noted. I think there is a common cause...but can't find it. Any ideas?

  • Answer:

wouldn't surprise me if you have a problem with the SRS cable reel (or clock spring as some would call it) whick basically allows the steering wheel to turn and allow electrical wiring pass through the steering wheel. Any electrical controls on the steering wheel pass through the cable reel other than that you probably have some kind of wiring issue, First step is get the SRS code, if you have a code for the drivers air bag start with replacing the cable reel, might cost you a couple of hundred bucks

I would say its a short in your steering. Could be a real problem locating, I would take it to a battery shop. I am not sure where you are located but where I am it could cost you a ton of money at a mech. We have a lot of battery/wiring tech shops here and they are a lot quicker and cheaper than a mechanic because that is all they do, find problems with wiring.
