98 honda prelude help?

What kind of wheel spacers and what size for 98 honda prelude with AP1 s2000 rims?

  • I have AP1 Honda s2000 rims for my 98 prelude sh. The width of the rear rims is 8". Tire size is 225/45/16. The inside of the tires on the rear rub against my upper control arms and the bar that is attaches the upper control arms to the lower control arms. I am wondering if spacers would make the problem go away. If it will, what size should i get? I can put the rear wheels on all the way, the only bad thing is that the inside of the tire sits on the arm and it rubs when wheel moves. Am i going to have to roll my fenders as well? Can anyone help me please.

  • Answer:

The spacers will probably make the rubbing go away, but then you would have terrible vibrations at higher speeds. What you can do is maybe put on smaller sidewall tires with narrower tire widths, like 215/30/16.
