Why the Window tab gets closed without closing the window?

95 Honda Accord passenger window does not go up :((?

• I have three issues on my 1995 Honda Accord 4 door LX. 1. Issue with my 95 accord passenger side window. It does not go up when I use the master power window controls from the drivers side. There is no connection at all. However, It goes up fine with passenger side window control. Has the master window switch gone bad ? All other functions on the power window switch work fine. 2. The power lock on my passenger side makes a noise when I try to lock it. It makes a "Grrrrr" grinding sound when I use the controls from the driver or the passenger side. However, I can manually lock and unlock the door pushing the knob down or up. I had the same problem on my drivers side a couple of years back and I changed the actuator after which it works fine. Any suggestions? 3. Drivers side window is slow when I try to pull it up. It works but not as quickly as the other three. If it rains or gets wet, it even stops. I have to apply pressure upwards by hand to have it closed. Regulator ?

• Answer:

  Pull the master control switches out of the door panel and soak them in hot, soapy water. THese switches collect dust, dirt and grease over the years and the contacts lose functioning. Afterwards, rinse thoroughly and place in hot, sunny spot to dry - the dashboard or rear shelf on a sunny day works great. Reinstall. Not sure on #2 - sounds like you have the answer though #3 is a common probably. When you have the door panel off, adjust the angle of the glass in the track. They have a tendency to start leaning back and binding against the B pillar. Test this by pulling the window FORWARD when it sticks, if it shoots up fine then that is the sticking point.
