How to set timing on a 94 honda civic?

When setting timing on a 1.5 94 honda civic lx how do i know all gears,pulleys are set right?

  • car wont start its sounds high pitched when key is turned

  • Answer:

    If you cant move the belts more than a 1/2 inch either way, they are fine. Make sure when setting your timing, you try and get back to base timing. from there you can advance it a bit, as long as it starts.
